How Hiding An Item Affects Reports
This short guide will show how the Hide Feature will affect the Perpetual Report and the Inventory Outline Tree. To review how to hide an item, see the guide How to Hide an Item.
The Perpetual Inventory Screen - Hidden Items Not Visible (1)
Hidden items will not be visible in the perpetual inventory report.
Inventory Outline - Hidden Items Not Visible (2)
When adding items to the inventory categories, hidden items will not appear in the categorization tree.
The Hide Feature is a powerful tool to remove visibility for items that are no longer relevant to your beverage program. You can take advantage of this in the Ordering, Inventory and Reporting section of BinWise. The history and data will still be available, but not causing disruption in your daily activity.
This guide will show you how to hide and unhide items.
How to Hide an Item (1)
Search for the item you want to hide from the homepage search bar. You have the option to include Hidden Items in your search if necessary (check the "Include hidden items" box)

***Note you can only hide items with a zero quantity.***
1. Verify the current count is zero. Check the Hide Item box.
2. Click Save.
The item will now be hidden from a number of different screens. For more information on the Hide function, see the guide below "How Hiding an Item Affects Ordering, Inventory and Reports."
How to Un-Hide an Item
To unhide an item, search for and select the item on the homepage.
Uncheck the box next to Hide Item, then click Save. The item will no longer be hidden in the system.

The Hide Feature is a powerful tool to remove visibility for items that are no longer relevant to your beverage program. This is especially helpful in the BinWise ordering functions because this will help you to maintain accuracy when you order if sold out or irrelevant items are hidden from view.

Hidden Items Are Not Visible When First Entering an Order (1)
When ordering an item (Orders tab - Enter Purchase Order), the hidden item will not be listed under the vendor's items on the first page.
Page 2 - Searching for a Hidden Item (2)
In step 2, you will not be able to search for the hidden item unless you check the box next to Search Hidden.
Entering an Invoice - Searching for a Hidden Item (3)
When entering an invoice into the system, you will not be able to search for the hidden item unless you check the box next to Search Hidden.
Printing Scan Sheets - Hidden Items Not Available (4)
When searching for items to print scan sheets, hidden items will not be visible. This is to help avoid mistakes in counting inventory. Remember, an item can be unhid at any time if you need to put it on your scan sheet.
