To remove sections from your inventory outline, you first need to make sure that you've already removed any wines or subcategories under the category you want to delete.
Deleting a Category (1)
To remove a category, first check to see if you need to also remove any wines from that part of your list;
1. From the "Wine List" tab, choose "Manager"
Deleting a Category (2)
1. Choose the section you want to delete - if the number in parenthesis after the category name is greater than zero, you know there are wines in that section. In this case, we're choosing to delete "NEW SECTION", which has two wines in it.
2. Highlight all wines in this category and either choose to move them (please see instructions on moving wine from category to category) or remove them.
Removing in this case does not actually remove the wine from your inventory, it uncategorizes it. See the next step for information on what removing does in this case. Otherwise, skip to step 4.
Deleting a Category (3)
If you go to the "Inventory" tab and choose "Add items to inventory categories" you'll see the two wines we "removed" are here, waiting to be re-categorized. Essentially, there are two ways to move wines around on your inventory outline, either here on the wine list category page by either removing and re-categorizing or by dragging and dropping wines within folders on the left hand side of the screen.
Deleting a Category (4)
Now that the category we'd like to delete is empy of wines, we can go over to the Wine List Builder to delete it.
From the "Wine List" tab, choose "Builder" to return to the builder screen
1. Highlight by clicking on it, the category you are ready to delete.
2. Click on "Remove"
Once the screen refreshes, you should be able to see that that section is now gone on the builder page.
If you still see the section, double check that all wines and sub-categories have been deleted.
Deleting a Category (5)
1. Click on "INVENTORY: UPDATE LIVE LIST"
This will refresh the outline and save your changes.
